What is SHR?

SHR stands for Super Hair Removal, and is the latest technology for permanent hair removal. SHR is virtually painless, quickest and one of the safest procedure.

How does SHR Hair Removal work?

SHR targets the hair stem cells to effectively destroy the targeted hair follicles. SHR uses gentler pulses of energy at a higher frequency rate. With this advanced technology, your skin is heated gently through the melanin and the stem cells with a lower energy of 48 degrees but with a higher frequency of rapid pulsating light.

This new technology heats the hair follicle gently and for longer. Hair follicles are not damaged by a single high energy pulse as in traditional Laser or IPL but by repetitive application of low energy pulses that raise the temperature of the dermis gradually and for longer.

New clinical research has also supported that a slower and longer focused heating process by SHR is more effective for permanent hair reduction as compared to high and short levels of energy used in traditional Laser or IPL systems.

Is SHR Hair Removal suitable for sensitive skin?

SHR Hair removal is one of the only treatments offering suitability for all skin types. SHR is suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin and is ideal for removing stubborn ingrown hair.

How does SHR Hair Removal feel? Is SHR Hair Removal painful?

SHR Hair Removal typically feels like a warm shave or warm massage. A virtually painless experience!

Is SHR Hair Removal safe?

From numerous clinical studies undertaken, SHR has been proven to be consistently the safest method of light based hair removal suitable for all skin types.

Does SHR Hair Removal work for coarse hair?

50% of this energy automatically targets melanin, whereas the other half works on the stem cells responsible for hair production. Therefore, this treatment targets both coarse and fine hair thoroughly and more effectively, making it Pocobeauty’s prime choice of hair removal treatment.

What is the recommended number of SHR Hair Removal treatment?

Skin areas with thicker hair follicles may require 1-3 sessions before visible results can be experienced. Depending on the natural density and thickness of your hair, it may take 7-10 sessions to see a significant difference.

What is the recommended treatment frequency?

SHR treatment should only be carried out once monthly in order to allow ample time in between sessions for the best rejuvenation of your skin.

The efficiency of the treatment is highly dependent on how dedicated you are to it. The best you can do, is to ensure a minimally monthly visit for your first few sessions. When regrowth has become visibly lesser and finer, you may cut your sessions back to once every 2-3 months.
